Borehole / Wireline geophysical logs are continuous and objective records that provide valuable
information regarding the physical properties of soil, rock, and ground water.

ARM’s logging system is mounted on a four wheel drive F350 diesel truck that is
small and mobile, which allows it to reach wells easier than much larger logging
trucks. The truck provides state of the art logging capabilities including a full
suite of standard logging tools and optical televiewer (OPTV) and acoustical televiewer
(ATV), neutron, gamma, and heat pulse flowmeter.
Some of the important information obtained from logging or imaging includes
- Lithology, thickness, & lateral continuity of aquifers and confining layers.
- Structural information such as strike and dip of lithologic contacts and bedrock
fractures.
- Hydrogeologic information including identification of water producing & receiving
zones, flow rate measurements, and estimates of permeability, porosity, moisture
content, and specific yield.
- Engineering properties such as bulk density, Poisson’s Ratio, Young’s Modulus,
Bulk Modulus & Shear Modulus.
